Bank of the West Classic Recycling Event

Posted July 23 2010 by cannon

We'll be at the Bank of the West Classic (Stanford) next week... so bring in your old tennis balls and exchange 12 old for a new can!!  Total balls used at the tournament is roughly 8,000... let's offset the entire tournament worth of balls.  Best part of this event -- Youth Tennis Advantage -- will be receiving 20% of playable balls collected back from reBounces for free.  reBounces is going to use its world-class technology to repressurize the balls and send them to YTA on an on going basis ... expecting YTA to save $1,000s of dollars as a result of this collection effort!

So bring out your tennis balls (hopefully quality, but we'll take 'dog balls' too) and help the tournament go green and support a great charity!

Cheers

How to participate: Bring old tennis balls to the Bank of the West Classic at the Taube Tennis Pavilion at Stanford University.

When: July 26 – August 1

What to do: Recycle your used tennis balls at designated drop off spots adjacent to the Taube Tennis Pavilion.

Earth Day Offer

Posted April 22 2010 by cannon

Okay... here is what we are doing for Earth Day -- Green Tennis Machines on sale and you get a huge discount if you sign-up for the green challenge

  • Green Tennis Machine is normally $5,000
  • Practice balls on sale for four days (through the weekend) at $0.33/ball or $1/can equivalent
  • $1 off the price of Green Machine for every ball you demo or recycle with us (max limit is 2,000 balls)
  • Typical payback for a club is less than one year as nearly 40,000 balls can be recharged each year
After you test out our Green Tennis Machines from afar (via practice balls), you qualify to purchase one Machine at a significant discount.  Again, this is only available for four days (through Sunday) and for continental US only.

Follow these simple steps:

  • Come up with how many balls you want to demo and recycle with reBounces (hint: You need to demo the balls ... I'd recommend 1,000 -- demo will last a while, and then you'll be 100% convinced of the product)
  • Email me -- cannon@rebounces.com OR twitter @rebounces
  • In the email provide the following items: Name, Club Name (if applicable), Shipping Addres, # of balls you intend to demo, # of balls you intend to recycle, phone # and best time to reach you
  • I'll set-up a time to walk you through any questions you have
  • The practice ball demo will begin and you're on your way to Greening Earth and Saving a lot of Cash

So - Living on Earth (of NPR fame) had a quick piece on Rebounces yesterday.  The link is here.  It was funny to see it on here as Grant spoke with them a while ago and now we're finally on :)

Here is the file if you don't want to check out the link > Living On Earth - Rebounces = Cool Fix.mp3

Also, as Grant mentioned the other day... the "Green Tennis Machines" are for sale and more info will be unveiled at the BNP Paribas Open

Vote for your favorite WTA Star & Win Free Balls

Posted December 1 2009 by cannon

Hopefully you've voted at awards.onthebaseline.com for your favorite WTA players, coaches, writers and commentators.  If you entered the contest, I hope you will win one of the five sets of 50 balls we are giving away.

Rebounces congratulates all the players who made 2009 a truly fabulous year on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour!

In 2009, Rebounces exceeded its goal of diverting five tons of balls from landfills and we are currently setting our sights on 25+ tons in 2010! These lofty goals would not be achievable without the fantastic players and partners, such as On the Baseline, that Rebounces works with every day.

Please check out our Recycling program and our Replay program that allows you to give your dead tennis balls life again.

Have a great holiday season and go VOTE
